Oasis

Online support at Crew is provided through the OASIS project.
OASIS is a website (www.oasisonline.co.uk) designed to help you regain control of your drinking or your cocaine use.
Built in partnership with our colleagues at Unity in the Netherlands, the website was designed specifically for people who are beginning to notice problems with their alcohol or cocaine use.
How it works
We've built a short quiz into the website to help you assess your drinking or your cocaine use... whichever you are more concerned about. If the score indicates that you are at higher risk of developing a problem the website provides a tool to help you sort it out.
The tool does all sorts of clever things including helping you to set goals for yourself, identify risky situations for use and keep a track of your use over the life of the programme.
You don't need to be ready to stop: You set your own goals on OASIS so if you just want to make a reduction to your drinking or cocaine use then the website will help you do this.
Who this is useful for
Potential groups of people who might find this service useful are...
- People who are not ready or willing to access a face-to-face service
- People who do not have suitable local services to go to
- People in full time employment/ education who cannot access services because of their work or study schedules.
Though this is a new area of work for Crew it brings together a lot of our existing strengths around drugs counselling and peer support.
Thousands of people have already made use of this new service and we hope it will continue to be a tool that is useful to people across Scotland and the UK.
